Birthday Cake

Happy Birthday to ME! Shamless you might think? Well...YES! I'd say so too! But at least I made myself a delicious chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream frosting. And since I am born on Valentine's day (oh my poor hubby) I had to go with the heart shaped cake. Took this wonderful treat with me to Marlowe's to enjoy a birthday dinner celebration with some close friends, what a night!

Figure Models

I took a course at Bonnie Gordon College over the weekend to learn how to make these beautiful figures. I was truly amazed at the wealth of knowledge I came out of there with. Our instructor Sally Bratt, owner of House of the Rising Cake was not only an expert, but inspirational. I learned so much from her in the short time I was there learning this new skill. I cannot wait to create another little figure!
